During the first lockdown (March 2020), I listened to a webinar that changed my life. The host suggested we write a weekly newsletter, which felt like an impossible task because I had sporadically written a newsletter called Know Your Value.

However, I stopped looking at writing weekly as something challenging and created the Business of Value Memo, which I have written every week since May 2020.

I learned that nothing is impossible once you have committed, not just made a decision but you have to commit.

As we close the year, what is the natural gift you possess but have not nurtured? Something that you think is impossible to do consistently but would make a massive difference in your personal life or business if you fully committed to it.

The challenge may be that you are focusing on the size of the task and not on the first thing you need to do, which is to start. Your only concern should be the next step and not the size of the task.

We never have as much time as we think. A close relative had a near-death experience on Christmas Eve, and a friend lost his partner of 16 years on Boxing day. Both of those situations affected me greatly, and they reinforced in my mind that the time to commit to that first step is now.

In the meantime, thank you for reading my posts and allowing me to share my gift, as it has taken me many years to accept that writing is one of the gifts that God has given me.

So, if, during the year, you’ve read my posts and learned:
* how to increase your confidence and communicate the difference
your service makes.
* The importance of listening to build rapport
* How to write better proposals
* That you are enough and to value yourself more

I am pleased and very grateful.

Take care of yourself and your family, and I wish you a safe and happy 2022. Happy New Year.

Look out for my first book on Knowing Your Value next year.
